About Vanta

Vanta Calisthenics Academy Inc. (VCA) is a new, not-for-profit, calisthenics and dance club bringing "CaliDance" to the Hurstville and the Georges River community. Founded on the belief that movement should be for everybody, at every stage of life, Vanta blends the discipline of calisthenics with the artistry of dance to create something bold, expressive, and inclusive.

We're more than just another dance school — we're a community. From tiny tots taking their first steps into dance, through juniors and seniors chasing competitive excellence, to adults and parents rediscovering the joy of dance, Vanta is built around one simple idea: everyone has a place here.

As a not-for-profit club, every dollar goes back into our dancers, our coaches, and our community — including a strong commitment to fostering opportunities for women in sport.

Everybody. Every stage.

The Coaches

Kayley Butler

Having participated in calisthenics since the age of three, Kayley has grown up with a genuine love and understanding of the sport. She has three years of coaching experience, following two years as a cadet, and has worked with dancers from juniors through to seniors across solo, duo and team disciplines.

Kayley’s coaching focuses on developing strong technical foundations, performance quality, confidence and individual expression. She is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where dancers are encouraged to challenge themselves, recognise their strengths and develop a genuine love for calisthenics. For Kayley, coaching is about helping each dancer grow not only as a performer, but as a confident and capable individual.

Mary Wallace

Mary is a fresh and enthusiastic coach with a wealth of cadeting experience across a wide range of age groups. Having grown up with a love for calisthenics, Mary brings not only experience and knowledge to her coaching, but a genuine passion for helping others discover the joy of the sport.

Mary has recently celebrated an incredible achievement, taking out both the Solo and Graceful competitions in her division — a wonderful reflection of her dedication, commitment and love for calisthenics.

Sarah Butler

With almost 20 years of dance experience, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and experience to her coaching. She believes every dancer should have the opportunity to discover their own strengths, develop their confidence and find their place within the sport.

A strong advocate for equality and inclusivity, Sarah is passionate about creating an environment where every girl feels valued, supported and empowered to participate. Her coaching celebrates individuality while encouraging dancers to challenge themselves, grow their skills and, most importantly, enjoy the sport they love.

Together, our coaching team brings a shared vision: to grow the next generation of calisthenics dancers in a supportive, professional, and welcoming environment. We're always looking to connect with mentor coaches who can help us continue raising the bar for our dancers and our club.
